ACCT 075 - BOOKKEEPING
How is the course taught?
This is a three-unit course offered to students in three different formats. It is available as a fully on-online class where the student will use their own software and their home or office computer. The class is also offered at the training center where class meetings are held twice a week. A third option is a Saturday morning class held at the training center designed to particularly accommodate working adults. Consult the schedule for

What can I acheive
by completing this course?
The individual completing this course can expect to know how to perform standard data entry procedures, prepare financial statements and reports typical of a small to medium-sized business. Standard accounting procedures for both service and product-based businesses is a part of this training. How to start a new business using QuickBooks, and how to convert a manual accounting system to a computerized system with QuickBooks Pro software is also included in this training.

The course is available as a three-unit course. It is also available in one-unit segments. ACCT 075A, the first unit, reviews accounting principles. The individual wanting to acquire mastery level skills with QuickBooks Pro software must understand underlying accounting principles in order to be successful with the software program. The student well-versed and experienced with accounting principles may opt out of this unit with permission from the instructor. The second and third one-unit segments of this course, ACCT 075B and 075C, focus on how to use QuickBooks Pro for transaction entry, reports, accounts receivable, payable, payroll, and other special topics.

If you aren’t currently an MSJC student, enroll as one. There are no prerequisites required. Once you are enrolled, simply sign up for the course.
