I’ve been teaching accounting
at Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) since 2000.
My favorite courses to teach include Financial; Managerial; and Federal
and California Income Tax Accounting. I developed the income tax course for MSJC in
2002. It meets the California Tax Education
Council’s (CTEC) requirements for qualifying education to obtain a Registered
Tax Preparer’s Certificate. For more
information on the tax course, please click
here. I am currently developing CTEC approved continuing
education courses to meet their annual CE requirement.
I enjoy assisting
students in pursuit of their educational and career goals.
Much of that assistance is based on my prior professional experience,
as well as, being able to help point the student in the right direction, as
necessary. My professional experience includes 10 years
of public accounting. I am also a co-author
of California Income Tax Fundamentals, one of the text books used in
the income tax course, beginning with the 2005 edition.
My educational
background includes a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration
in Accounting and an M.S. in Taxation, both from California State University
Fullerton. I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American
Institute of CPAs (AICPA).
